Unique Kitchen Farmhouse Decor on Amazon

I had so much fun writing my post on affordable Amazon farmhouse décor for the bedroom that I decided to just keep going throughout the house! So my house is still a war zone under construction—which means I’m still in dreaming mode instead of actual decorating mode.  This is kind of a bummer since I’m still living in an RV and all (stationary—not traveling the world kind of RV living), BUT this does mean that I have plenty of time to come up with the perfect décor for my new home. Let’s talk affordable kitchen farmhouse decor on Amazon!

If you read my post on Amazon farmhouse bedroom décor, or maybe you’ve gathered from the title of my blog, I’m a simple girl.  I like to keep things neutral and airy. Same goes for my kitchen.  I’m doing the basic farmhouse theme in there—white cabinets, white marble (probably laminate) countertops, white subway tile, and open wooden shelving instead of upper cabinets. I know—white cabinets in a kitchen can be a nightmare (spaghetti sauce everywhere!) but I just really, really love the look.  I’ve always had white cabinets so I feel like I kind of know the drill now. If you go with white, you’re going to clean it in order to keep it looking beautiful—good thing I love cleaning products, right?! I’m considering doing a gray or black island with a wooden countertop—jury is still out on what I’ll do there—if you have any suggestions, please leave me a comment below! We’ll go with stainless steel appliances to round everything up.  I’m not going to lie, I really don’t want stainless again.  I’ve discovered a great stainless steel cleaner in Force of Nature (it is literally the only cleaning product you need for EVERYTHING in your home), but I really hate maintaining stainless. All. The. Fingerprints. Ugh. I considered black appliances for awhile because I thought they would look so sharp with the white cabinets but somehow we circled back to stainless steel. Oh, well.

One place I might branch out is the walls—I love subway tile in the kitchen but I’m also in love with wallpaper in the moment.  I considered putting this hexagon “tile” peel and stick wallpaper up instead of subway tile.  It’s a little different but along the same lines as subway tile. What do you think?

Now that we have the bones of the room, it’s time to decorate and stock the kitchen! I think copper accents look so lovely in a neutral kitchen.  The copper color really pops against white, but also compliments gray and black really well too. Amazon has some great copper décor items such as canisters, kettles, bowls, and more!

You can even bring copper elements into the more practical items in your kitchen. Amazon has a variety of copper kitchen accessories like cooking utensils, pots and pans, knife sets, even a slow cooker (which I NEED!).

I would really love to bring pops of green into the house as well. The best way to do this is with plants—which means I have to learn how to not kill ALL THE LIVING THINGS! To be safe, we’ll start with some fake plants and work our way up to the real thing. My dream is to have a little herb garden in my kitchen window—cute AND practical!

My dinnerware is pretty simple as well. I have square white plates and bowls. I absolutely fell in love with this silverware I found on Amazon.  It’s just so classic looking with a bit of an antique feel. Here’s a little tip about my dinnerware—I paid a ton of money for mine several years ago but DOLLAR TREE has the SAME plates and bowls for a fraction of the price!

I’ll finish things up with rugs and curtains.  I found these runners and really love the boho feel they bring to the farmhouse theme. I’ll keep it simple (shocking!) with the curtains and hang them with cute, black o-rings. These curtains are perfect because they’re sheer and airy–but fun with the cute little pom poms!

I love decorating in my head—and what better place to do that than Amazon?  They literally have it all in one place! Thanks for letting me dream about pretty and affordable kitchen farmhouse decor on Amazon.  Sometimes it just helps to talk these things out with friends, you know?
