You will like countries and then there’s that love at first sight. I still have no idea when it got a hook an me but Australia is a country where you want to stay forever. I finally understand why I lost so many friends over it. But before I drag myself into dramatic poetry I want to highlight my first visited area called Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park. It’s a 1,5 hour drive from Melbourne, but a complete different world. No traffic or high buildings and shopping centres.
Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park is a place of endless nature, mountains and lots of wildlife. If you want to experience Australian nature at its finest this is the place to go. In just a view hours I saw walibi’s, wombats and emu’s. When you drive up to Tidal River, a free shuttle bus takes you to Telegraph Saddle where you’ll hike for approximately 3 hours (back and forth) to see a perfect 360 degrees view. Don’t forget squeeky beach, which really squeeks.
