Locks

Here I stand by the Albert docks upon lines and lines of rusty locks.

Worn away by the sands of time.

Withstanding the rain the frost and sunshine.

Each one holds a story not for us to tell.

Of lovers still dear and others farewell.

As I stand here on the Albert docks amongst the lines of rusty locks.

I hear a city that's full of laughter.

For the love they hold for every new chapter.

Embrace the new and forgive the past.

For every lock that's placed forever it will last.

Here I stand by the Albert docks amongst the lines of rusty locks.

As the sun sets over the river Mersey.

Every lock has a story that's worthy.
I still wonder who holds the keys.
But thats their story and it's not meant for me.
